Turkey Flat

The Schulz family have been custodians of Turkey Flat since the 1860s. Today, Christie Schulz is the fourth generation to become caretaker of this remarkable estate. Extensive research has been undertaken in the vineyards, allowing Christie and her team to blend traditional Rhône varietals with 1847 Shiraz vines (some of the oldest in Australia, and the centrepiece of this family-owned estate), a vital part of the Barossa Valley’s rich cultural heritage. Turkey Flat Vineyards are committed to operating as a truly sustainable business, one that works within local ecosystems rather than in competition with them. They harvest rainwater for use in the winery, and solar panels provide the main source of power. Turkey Flat consistently delivers complex, award-winning wines that showcase just how exciting the Barossa Valley can be.
