Prinz von Hessen

The Prinz von Hessen estate has a total of 31 hectares under vine, of which 70% is classified as First Growth Vineyards, “Erstes Gewachs”. A portion of the grapes grown at the estate ripen in the top sites of Johannisberger Klaus, in deep, limey loess soils over the Rhein River. The relatively flat site at the base of the Johannisberg results in fine, fruity and elegant Rieslings, which have a distinctive development potential and excellent storage capacity. Light in alcohol, the Riesling wines of Prinz von Hessen are zesty, floral and lively, with aromas of apricots and peaches and a well-balanced minerality.
