The Schweiger winery is located in the village of Zöbing, situated in the south of the Kamptal, one of the finest wine growing regions in Austria. Peter Schweiger and his son, Peter Junior – the fourth generation winemaker in the family – work with a careful emphasis on sustainable vineyard practices. The Schweiger philosophy rests on three key moments: work in the vineyards, vinification and careful maturation. Their grapes are harvested according to traditional single varietal methods, then meticulously processed to enhance natural development. Allowing the wines the vital time they need to age to perfection, they are never bottled before April and are only released once they have reached ideal maturity.
