Grati
The Grati family has been growing grapes and making fine wines for five generations in the DOCG of Rufina, a landscape widely regarded as one of Tuscany’s finest. While classically Tuscan, the climate here is considerably cooler than the plain. The wines are correspondingly fresh and elegant. Their estates, Vetrice and Galiga, cover 562 hectares, of which 100 are under vine. The majority of the vineyards are planted in Sangiovese, the classic Tuscan grape variety, but also include other traditional regional varieties such as Colorino and Canaiolo, as well as the olive and cypress trees so typical of the region.
